Taylor has spent
endless hours
creating, designing,
directing, and
building his own
custom illusions,
such as the World's
Largest Hourglass.
Taylor was
influenced by Harry
Houdini's
death-defying water
torture cell
illusion. In
this illusion,
Taylor was covered
by sand inside an
hourglass and
vanished in the nick
of time to reappear
in the back of the
theater.
Taylor used his
drumming genius to
create and to design
the 25-Piece Drum
Set Vanish, which
transformed into a
motorcycle.
These and many other
chances to create
and to design at 14
years old, allowed
Taylor to gain
respect from many of
magic's superstars
such as Siegfried &
Roy, David
Copperfield, Lance
Burton, and First
Lady of Magic,
Melinda.
Today, Taylor is
working closely with EDF in Los Angeles
to bring his new
inventions to life!
He is also working
on his all new
Mailbox Prediction.

Taylor Reed’s
original concept
levitation called
THE ULTIMATE
LEVITATION, the one
that uses stagecraft
technologies never
before applied into
a levitation before,
was never authorized
to be built by any
company without
Taylor's prior
consent.
Taylor Reed
never gave
permission nor did
he receive any
royalties from the
other builder that
heard his idea and
started making
units. The
ULTIMATE LEVITATION
Illusion is a
Taylor Reed
idea and concept.
Taylor Reed designed
the Ultimate
Levitation so
magicians can
perform it just
about anywhere,
whether it be
outdoors or indoors
and even in theaters
with short
ceilings. This
levitation is
extremely portable.
The gimmick is
self-contained
within the table.
Taylor Reed designed
the Zip It Up
illusion in the
1980s and has built
five versions of
this illusion to
reach perfection for
you! The concept:
A girl gets into box
and disappears.
This is similar to
the Vanishing Bird
Cage, making this a
very smooth and
professional
illusion.
Most recently,
Taylor has put a new
spin on Jim
Steinmeyer's
Audience
Dismemberment.
Though Taylor does
not build these from
scratch, he will
modify an authorized
version to make
yours like the
version he performs
on stage.

From 1994-1999, Taylor
put his
creating and
designing ability to
use in his own
company, DTR Entertainment, where
he created sets
and props for some
of Las Vegas' most
successful
productions, such as
Las Vegas headliner
and AT&T spokesman,
Carrot Top. Taylor
also created the
entire production
of Beyond Death's
Door, a
traveling religious
experience for the
First Baptist Church
in Amarillo, Texas.
These are just a few
examples of some of
the work Taylor has
done for clients. |
